For this first program of the 2022-23 season of Village's 2nd Thursday Recital Series, I've designed a program to celebrate new beginnings of various sorts. Come celebrate with me! A screen and cameras will provide up-close views for the audience of hands and feet in action.
Planned repertoire includes:
TOM TRENNEY (b. 1977): Variations on THAXTED
BENJAMIN CORNELIUS-BATES (b. 1978): Fantasia on "I Wonder..."
CHARLES-MARIE WIDOR (1844-1937): Intermezzo from Symphonie No. 6 for Organ
PAUL AYRES (b. 1970): Toccatina on "Here Comes the Sun" (based on the song by George Harrison)
