UPDATE: Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs, Super Bowl bound! Back home, less than 10 miles from their home at Kauffman Stadium, is another arena, Community of Christ's Auditorium, where I'll be playing my 21st annual Super Bowl Sunday Organ Concert. For the past 20 years I've offered to play a piece in honor of the Chiefs if they make it to the Super Bowl, and this year's the year! The Auditorium seats a few thousand less than their stadium (there's room for only 5800 people), but every seat is free, and the magnificent Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ there is the largest in the KC metro area. There are more pipes in the organ (6,334) than seats in the room!

This year's concert, titled "Homage," will open with my musical tribute to the Chiefs, and then I'll play organ works in honor of other significant people from local to world-wide. Admission is free (a free-will offering will be gratefully accepted), and plenty of free parking is available. Live video on the big screens will show up-close views of my hands and feet in action. Come join in the fun! There's no need to choose -- you can come to the concert and still make it to your favorite venue for watching the game.

Planned repertoire includes:

JAN KRAYBILL (b. 1960): Homage to the Chiefs!

PYOTR ILYICH TCHAIKOVSKY (1840-1893), transcr. George J. Bennett:  Coronation March
